Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
• Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Laboratory Management.
• Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in clinical laboratory operations.
• Three (3) years in administrative management role preferred.
• Required Licenses/Certifications: MT/MLS/ASCP or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations including core laboratory, microbiology, blood bank, pathology, histology/cytology, specimen processing, phlebotomy services, point-of-care testing, and ambulatory laboratories.
• Ensure laboratories meet service, quality, turnaround-time, and productivity goals.
• Develop and execute the laboratory’s strategic plan.
• Ensure CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance; lead accreditation readiness.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets; monitor financial performance.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing laboratory leaders and staff; foster continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with medical directors, pathology teams, and executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
