South Shore Health is seeking an Executive Director of Laboratory Services to provide strategic, operational, financial, and regulatory leadership across all laboratory operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related sciences; MBA/Healthcare Admin preferred.
• Five years in clinical lab operations; three years in administrative management preferred.
• MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent license required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee core laboratory operations (core, microbiology, blood bank, pathology, histology, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing).
• Ensure service quality, turnaround times, staffing models, and productivity goals.
• Lead quality and regulatory compliance programs with CAP, CLIA, and Joint Commission.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets; monitor financial performance.
• Foster leadership development, succession planning, and workforce engagement.
• Partner with medical directors and executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
