Job summary

FCCI is seeking a strategic Director of Learning & Development to design and drive the organization’s learning approach. You will partner with business leaders to identify needs, develop content, and implement practical learning solutions that elevate employee capabilities and performance.

The role balances vision with hands-on leadership, leveraging AI-enabled tools and evolving technologies to continuously improve learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Development or related field required.
• 8+ years in Learning & Development with leadership experience.
• 3+ years in commercial underwriting experience.
• Translate business needs into practical, measurable learning solutions.
• Experience using learning technologies and data to improve outcomes.
• Certification in learning and development or organizational development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute an L&D strategy aligned to business priorities and future talent needs.
• Partner with leaders, HR, and SMEs to identify gaps and create a skills-based learning strategy.
• Lead experiential and blended learning programs that build practical capability.
• Advance learning technology, AI-enabled tools, and data-informed practices to improve impact.
• Oversee company learning programs, including onboarding, technical, leadership, compliance, and professional development.
• Lead and develop the L&D team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Reinforce established standards for instructional design, facilitation, learner experience, program evaluation, and learning effectiveness.
• Use data, feedback, and performance measures to evaluate program outcomes and demonstrate business value.
• Manages learning resources, vendor relationships, budgets, timelines, and priorities to ensure effective execution and sustainable results.
