American Electric Power is seeking a strategic account manager to drive retention and expansion for key managed accounts. The role emphasizes executive relationship building, program development, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, energy efficiency, and economic development teams.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years in customer account management or economic development, with travel and strong communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Communications or other related field.
• Two years' experience in customer account management, business or economic development.
• Licenses/Certifications: advanced degree or professional certification preferred (PE, CEM, PMP, MBA, JD).
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; travel required.

Responsabilidades

• Establishes and maintains high-level relationships with key decision makers within assigned customer organization.
• Responsible for the retention, expansion, and overall satisfaction of the assigned client base.
• Provides a single point-of-contact to identify critical issues and oversees the plan of action to resolve issues with key departments.
• Develops and implements strategic programs and offerings, develops new business, provides exceptional customer service, contract development and negotiation, and builds long-term relationships with executive level decision makers.
• Interfaces with engineers, energy efficiency group, economic development group and various AEP units to meet goals.
• Promotes and supports operating company energy efficiency/demand response programs system wide to assigned key accounts.
• Promotes and supports operating company energy conversion with assigned key accounts.
