Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a pro-active inventory and purchasing professional in the United States to manage inventory levels, PO processes, and supplier communications.

You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure on-time delivery and accurate stock levels. The role requires Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years purchasing experience, with emphasis on inventory control in retail, packaging, or industrial distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years purchasing experience.
• Retail, Packaging, or Industrial Distribution inventory management experience.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to analyze large data.
• Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Proficient with Excel; AS400 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read production schedules and inventory reports to determine availability, quantity, and priority.
• Ensure accuracy of on-hand inventory.
• Manage Open Purchase Order (PO) reports and push/pull POs.
• Communicate daily inbound status with Warehouse Manager and inform management.
• Prepare and place POs for replenishment of inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors to expedite shipments and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with freight carriers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Manage Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) with root causes, corrective actions, and dispositions.
