Job summary

Brooks Instrument, a leader in flow and pressure instrumentation, seeks a Buyer/Planner at its Hatfield, PA headquarters. You will review work orders, plan production schedules, and release purchase orders to ensure on‑time delivery while balancing cost and supplier reliability.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing planning experience, a Bachelor's degree, strong interpersonal and Excel skills, ERP proficiency, and the ability to read drawings. APICS CPIM certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years in manufacturing with planning, buying and inventory control.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with computer tools including Excel.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules and provide lead times for products.
• Manage inventory to meet goals and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Release shop floor purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers.
• Plan and schedule using ERP systems to meet production demands.
• Read drawings and communicate component specs to suppliers.
• Maintain and improve supplier performance and lead times.
