Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. seeks a Materials Planning and Inventory Manager to oversee production schedules, ensure inventory availability, and manage open purchase orders. You will partner with warehouses, vendors, and freight teams to keep materials flowing and on schedule.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in purchasing, solid Excel skills (AS400 preferred), and a detail-oriented mindset capable of analyzing large data sets to optimize stock levels and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience.
• Retail, Packaging, or Industrial Distribution inventory management experience.
• Detail-oriented with data analysis skills.
• Proficient with Excel; AS400 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and read production schedules for inventory needs and priorities.
• Ensure accuracy of on-hand inventory.
• Manage Open Purchase Orders and coordinate PO movements.
• Communicate inbound status with Warehouse management.
• Prepare POs for inventory replenishment.
• Coordinate with vendors to expedite shipments and resolve issues.
• Work with freight carriers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve invoices.
• Oversee Supplier Corrective Action Reports and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
