Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Purchasing associate to manage all manufacturing-related material purchases. You will place orders, prepare purchase orders in the ERP, and ensure timely receipt of materials while maintaining inventory levels.

The role involves vendor management, price monitoring, and occasional forklift operation in Rock Hill, SC. Candidates should have a high school diploma with at least 2 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, plus strong communication

Qualifications

• Two years’ purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Clear, concise oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in the corrugated box industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Place orders on a timely basis for purchases of materials and supplies.
• Prepare complete and accurate purchase orders in the ERP.
• Receive materials from deliveries and confirm receipt in ERP.
• Expedite deliveries and maintain inventory levels of non-paper materials.
• Establish vendor files and inventory control records.
• Assist with month-end inventory counts and price discrepancy resolution.
• Operate forklift occasionally and greet delivery drivers.
