Pratt Industries is seeking a procurement professional to manage all production-related purchasing in a fast-growing manufacturing environment in South Carolina. The role emphasizes timely order placement, ERP-based PO creation, receiving verification, vendor management, and inventory control.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in manufacturing purchasing, strong communication skills, and knowledge of corrugated packaging. Some college is a plus and forklift operation may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with relevant 2+ years experience.
• Clear, concise oral and written communication skills.
• Some College degree preferred.
• Two years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Plus - Experience in the corrugated box industry.

Responsibilities

• Place orders on a timely basis for purchases of materials and supplies.
• Prepare complete and accurate purchase orders on company ERP.
• Receive materials from deliveries and confirm item receipt in the ERP.
• Modify preexisting POs for tax or pricing changes.
• Expedite delivery of goods to users.
• Maintain inventory levels for non-paper materials.
• Establish vendor files and inventory control records.
• Schedule/expedite non-manufactured item shipping.
• Inform management of price changes and alternatives.
• Assist GM/Production Manager with purchases as needed.
• Greet and direct delivery drivers.
• Assist with Month End inventory counts.
• Occasionally operate forklift.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
