Job summary

Relation Insurance Inc. seeks an experienced Account Manager in the Small Business Unit to manage client relationships, advise on coverage, risk management, and align insurance programs with long-term business goals.

You will stay updated on industry developments and carrier products to deliver best-in-class service. The role requires a Property and Casualty license, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Property and Casualty license from domicile is required and must be maintained.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; four-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years account management experience in the insurance industry focusing on personal lines.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus or a must in some locations.
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel and Word; proficiency in PowerPoint essential.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, advising on coverage changes and policy requirements.
• Develop strategic insurance plans tailored to client needs.
• Act as field underwriter and authorized representative to assess and bind coverage.
• Manage renewals and proposals, including loss evaluations and risk analyses.
• Prepare binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related documents.
• Assist clients with first reports of claims and coordinate with carriers for timely settlements.
