Job summary

Relation Insurance Inc. is seeking an Account Manager for the Small Business Unit to manage overall client relationships, advise on coverage and risk management, and align insurance programs with client growth goals.

Role requires a Property & Casualty license, 5+ years in commercial lines account management, and strong analytical skills. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Property and Casualty License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years account management experience in the insurance industry with a focus on commercial lines.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus or a must in some locations.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills for both in-person and teleconference/webinar sessions.
• In-depth understanding of advanced commercial lines of coverage with the ability to advise clients concerning their complex insurance needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and educating clients on policy exclusions and exposures.
• Partners in strategic development of insurance plans tailored to client needs.
• Acts as field underwriter and authorized representative to assess and bind coverage as appropriate.
• Strategically manages renewal remarketing to ensure high account retention rates.
• Prepares client proposals, submissions, loss evaluations, risk analyses, and quotes; explains billing options.
• Prepares binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other documents to support client needs.
• Assist clients in submitting first reports of claims and facilitate prompt carrier responses.
• Reviews renewals and audits for accuracy and necessary corrections; communicates discrepancies to clients.
• Reviews cancellation requests to retain clients while protecting the company’s interests.
• Stay informed about industry developments and new products to enhance client services and performance.
• Recommend process improvements and adopt innovative technology, including AI solutions, into service delivery.
• Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
