Job summary

Relation Insurance Services is seeking an Account Manager for the Small Business Unit who will manage overall client relationships, provide strategic advice on coverage and risk management, and ensure alignment with long-term growth goals. The role emphasizes servicing client needs, renewing and remarketing insurance programs, and leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.

Ideal candidates have a Property & Casualty license, 5+ years in commercial lines account management, and strong

Qualifications

• Property and Casualty License required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; four-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years account management experience in commercial lines.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus or required in some locations.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills for in-person and teleconference/webinar sessions.
• In-depth understanding of advanced commercial lines of coverage to advise clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and guiding coverage changes.
• Partners in strategic development of insurance plans tailored to client needs.
• Acts as field underwriter and authorized representative of carriers to bind coverage.
• Strategically manages renewal remarketing to maintain high account retention.
• Prepares client proposals, submissions, loss evaluations, and risk analyses with timely quotations.
• Produces summaries, binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and related documents.
• Assists clients in submitting first reports of claims and facilitates carrier responses.
• Conducts policy reviews during renewals and audits and notes discrepancies.
• Reviews cancellation requests and strives to retain clients while preserving financial integrity.
• Stays informed about industry developments and new products to enhance service.
• Recommends process improvements and adopts innovative technology to improve client service.
