Job summary

Relation Insurance Services is seeking an Account Manager, Small Business Unit, to oversee client relationships and strategic coverage decisions for small business clients in the United States. You will guide risk management, tailor insurance plans, and liaise with carriers to bind coverage while driving renewals and client satisfaction.

You will analyze client needs, prepare proposals, and navigate regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed Property & Casualty required or attained
• High School Diploma or equivalent; four-year degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years account management experience in insurance; personal lines focus
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus or required in some locations
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and Word
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites

Responsibilities

• Serve as main client contact; address inquiries and advise on coverage changes
• Develop insurance plans tailored to client needs
• Act as field underwriter and carrier representative to bind coverage
• Renegotiate renewals to maintain high client retention
• Prepare client proposals, submissions, loss evaluations, risk analyses, quotations
• Prepare binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other documents
• Assist clients with first reports of claims and liaise with adjusters
• Conduct policy reviews; communicate audit discrepancies to clients
• Review cancellation requests and retain client accounts
• Stay informed about industry changes and new products
• Adopt AI tools to improve client service
• Execute additional tasks as assigned
