Job summary

Relation Insurance Services seeks an experienced Account Manager to oversee client relationships, advise on coverage, risk management and program needs. You will partner with clients to craft tailored insurance plans, act as field underwriter, and manage renewals to boost retention.

You will prepare proposals, bind policies, and assist with claims, audits, and billing options. Strong communication, analysis, and MS Office skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Property and Casualty License from the state of domicile is required.
• HS diploma or equivalent; four-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years account management experience in insurance, personal lines focus.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus or required in some locations.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of insurance markets, products, and underwriting procedures.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the main client contact, guiding coverage changes and contract requirements.
• Develops tailored insurance plans in collaboration with clients.
• Underwrites and binds coverage with carriers as appropriate.
• Manages renewals and ensures high account retention.
• Prepares client proposals, submissions, loss evaluations, and risk analyses.
• Communicates billing and invoicing options clearly.
• Prepares binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and related docs.
• Assists clients with first reports of claims and liaises with adjusters.
• Reviews renewals and audits for accuracy and action items.
• Monitors market developments and recommends process improvements.
• Adopts AI solutions to enhance client service.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
