Job summary

Mettler-Toledo seeks an Inside Sales Support Specialist in Billerica, MA, to back Field Sales by preparing technical quotes, supporting account growth, and moving opportunities from inquiry to order review. You’ll engage customers by phone and virtually, understand needs, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve questions.

The role emphasizes CRM accuracy, pricing compliance, and building knowledge of Process Analytics products to drive consumables, accessories, and service opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; alternatively 3+ years of relevant experience or training.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with SAP or CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Collaborative mindset across sales, technical support, service and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Field Sales Representatives to identify opportunities, grow target accounts, and coordinate customer appointments.
• Connect with customers by phone and virtually to understand needs, explain solutions, and advance sales opportunities.
• Review customer requirements, prepare quotes and proposals, and perform technical order reviews.
• Follow up on open opportunities and coordinate internal resources to resolve questions and issues.
• Build knowledge of Process Analytics products to identify opportunities for consumables, accessories, and service.
• Keep CRM records accurate and current and follow pricing guidelines and sales processes.
