Job summary

Avantor via NuSil seeks an Industrial Security Director to lead our security organization and oversee programs for the Aerospace & Defense sectors. Based in Carpinteria, CA, this role reports to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will manage policy, risk, and compliance for classified information and personnel security while collaborating across functions.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, active TS/SCI clearance, deep NISPOM knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 12 years of Industrial Security or related experience, or graduate degree with 10 years.
U.S. citizen and active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
Excellent verbal and written communication; strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement security policies aligned with government requirements.
Lead and mentor security personnel and coordinate with executive leadership.
Develop and maintain information assurance and security programs for classified information.
Advise leadership on risk mitigation and compliance requirements.
Coordinate investigations and support security incident response plans.
Lead security education and training programs and ensure KPI alignment.
