Job summary

Avantor is seeking an Industrial Security Director to oversee the security organization supporting our high-performance silicones business serving Aerospace & Defense. The role is based in Carpinteria, California and reports to an executive leader.

Ideal candidates hold a DoD TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and extensive experience with NISPOM, DFARS, and NIST standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for collaboration with executives and customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Legal Studies, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity with 12 years of Industrial Security or related experience, or graduate degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
U.S. citizen with active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
Detailed working knowledge of NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, NIST SP 800-53/171, DFARS.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead security programs aligned with government requirements and company policies.
Develop and maintain information security programs protecting classified, proprietary, and sensitive information.
Advise executive leadership on risk mitigation and compliance with contractual obligations.
