Job summary

Avantor is seeking an Industrial Security Director / Head of Product Security to oversee security programs for our Aerospace & Defense-focused silicones business. The role, reporting to executive leadership, is based in Carpinteria, CA and requires a US citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.

You will lead security strategy, implement compliant processes, mentor a team, and partner with executives, customers, and suppliers to safeguard personnel, facilities, and sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Detailed working knowledge of NISPOM and 32 CFR Part 117.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53/171 and related DFARS requirements.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required; US citizen.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborate with executives and customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee industrial security programs aligned with government requirements.
• Lead security team and drive risk mitigation across personnel, facilities and information.
• Develop security education and training programs for organizational awareness.
• Coordinate investigations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
