Job summary

Avantor is seeking an Industrial Security Director / Head of Product Security to oversee industrial security programs and lead the security organization supporting our high-performance silicones business serving Aerospace & Defense industries. Based in Carpinteria, CA, this role reports to an executive leader and requires extensive expertise in NISPOM, NIST, and security program management.

The candidate must hold a U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Legal Studies, Computer Science, Cybersecurity with 12 years of Industrial Security or related experience, or Graduate degree with 10 years of relevant Industrial Security experience.
Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance required.
Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with leadership, customers, suppliers, and associates.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
Develop and guide program implementations to minimize security risks to personnel, facilities, classified information and assets.
Support information assurance programs to protect classified and sensitive information.
Advise executive leadership on risk mitigation and compliance requirements.
Coordinate investigations and inquiries with security and HR to address fraud, threats, and policy violations.
Lead a team of security professionals and align goals with department priorities.
