Job summary

Avantor is seeking an Industrial Security Director / Head of Product Security to oversee security programs supporting our silicones business for Aerospace & Defense. Based in Carpinteria, CA, you will report to an executive leader and build a high-performing security organization.

Requirements include a bachelor's (or graduate degree) with extensive industrial security experience, U.S. citizenship, and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have detailed working knowledge of NISPOM / 32 CFR Part 117, NIST SP 800-53/171, DFARS.
• U.S. citizen and active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience implementing security programs and processes at executive level.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines aligned with corporate and government requirements.
• Develops and guides program implementation to minimize security risks and losses related to personnel, facilities, and assets.
• Develops information assurance and security programs focused on protected information.
• Advises executive leadership on risk mitigation and compliance requirements.
• Interprets government security requirements and coordinates with customers and U.S. Government representatives.
• Leads security incident response planning and investigations with HR and facilities.
