Job summary

NuSil, part of Avantor, seeks an Industrial Security Director to oversee industrial security programs and lead the security organization supporting high-performance silicones for Aerospace & Defense. Based in Carpinteria, CA, the role reports to executive leadership and shapes security strategy across the business.

The ideal candidate has extensive NISPOM/NIST/DFARS experience, is a U.S. citizen, and holds an active DoD TS/SCI clearance. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Detailed working knowledge of NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, NIST SP 800-53/171, DFARS.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance required and maintainable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines aligned with government requirements.
• Develop and guide program implementation to minimize security risks and protect personnel, facilities, information and assets.
• Lead security education and training programs to raise organizational awareness.
• Coordinate investigations and inquiries with facility security and HR; address fraud, threats, and policy violations.
• Advise executive leadership and security personnel on risk mitigation and compliance requirements.
