Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for the Global Engineering Services North America Design & Construction team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required.
• Experience managing cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects.
• Knowledge of regulatory permitting and design reviews is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage difficult, cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site selection and validation, scope development, and design management—coordinating with design teams to meet Amazon's standards.
• Review studies and codes, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure timely approvals and handoffs to Construction Manager.
• Manage multiple locations regionally, identify blockers, and drive decisions to keep projects on track.
• Develop KPI-based performance tracking for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
