Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services NA Design & Construction team seeks a Sr Pre-Construction Manager to act as the senior owner's representative from site selection through design, permitting and contract execution across the region.

You will drive risk- and cost-aware decisions, lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and mentor others while traveling up to 60% and working from a corporate office when not on the road.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, or architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certification preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 60% nationwide.
• Experience with complex industrial preconstruction projects.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously manage complex cross-functional preconstruction projects from site selection through permit.
• Lead design management, scope development, and value engineering.
• Oversee budgets, procurement, and external vendor partnerships.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor junior preconstruction managers and contribute to playbooks.
