Amentum is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic ally to the assigned program, aligning HR policy execution with business goals and promoting a high-performing, inclusive culture across all levels.

The role emphasizes employee relations, compliance with federal/state/local laws, and collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and Compliance to support engagement, performance, and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Minimum six years in HR environment.
• Labor relations experience preferred.
• Familiarity with federal and state employment laws.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and leaders within the assigned program.
• Coach leaders through complex employment decisions with sound judgment and emotional intelligence.
• Develop and implement employee engagement and workforce development initiatives.
• Provide guidance on counseling, performance management, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends for improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to employee matters.
