Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support the Modernization business line. Based on-site in Sierra Vista, AZ, the HRBP will partner with program managers and leadership to deliver HR services and strategic guidance.

Minimum requirements include 5+ years in HR, knowledge of HR disciplines, and ability to obtain a Secret clearance. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on human resources experience.
• Experience providing HR leadership to a diverse workforce.
• Knowledge of HR disciplines including recruiting, talent management, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Strong written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Workday HRIS in government contracting contexts.
• Active Secret clearance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Program Managers and leaders to foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.
• Implement HR policies and drive organizational change.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Operations on staffing and onboarding.
• Advise managers and employees on performance, employee relations, and policy interpretation.
• Provide on-site guidance to strengthen engagement and address concerns.
• Conduct stays and exit interviews to identify retention trends.
• Assess training needs and coordinate non-operational training.
• Lead group presentations on policies, processes and benefits enrollment.
• Support start-up activities and cross-functional coordination.
