Job summary

Amentum is seeking an HR Business Partner to act as a strategic partner for the assigned program, ensuring consistent execution of HR policies, employee relations, compliance, training, benefits, and workforce initiatives.

The HRBP will build trusted relationships with leaders and employees, coach managers through complex employment decisions, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws while fostering a positive, inclusive, high-performing workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business, or related field.
• PHR/SPHR recommended.
• Minimum six years of HR experience.
• Labor relations strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Proficiency in MS Office products.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and leaders within the assigned program.
• Build strong relationships across all levels while upholding confidentiality.
• Coach leaders through difficult employment decisions with sound judgment.
• Partner with leadership to implement engagement, retention, and workforce development initiatives.
• Provide guidance on performance management, corrective actions, and terminations.
