Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support the Modernization business line. The HRBP will provide timely HR services and serve as a strategic partner to Program Managers and leadership within the Modernization portfolio.

This role is supported remotely, with attention to all time zones, to ensure consistent and timely support. Essential duties include partnering with leaders to foster an inclusive culture, implementing HR policies, supporting staffing needs, advising on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5+ years of hands-on HR experience.
• Experience providing HR leadership to a diverse workforce and management team.
• Knowledge of HR disciplines: recruiting, talent management, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training, performance management.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Knowledge of international labor laws for program-related contracts.
• CBA/union and Service Contract Act processes and laws.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program managers and leaders to foster an inclusive, high-performance culture and workforce development.
• Implement and communicate HR policies, drive organizational change, and advocate for business needs.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to assess staffing needs and expedite hiring and onboarding.
• Advise managers on performance management, employee relations, training, and employment law interpretation.
• Provide guidance on employee engagement and workforce concerns.
• Maintain understanding of employment laws to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with payroll, Workday, and international assignments as needed.
