Amentum is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic and operational partner for the assigned program. This role ensures consistent HR policy execution, employee relations, compliance, training, and workforce initiatives while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• PHR/SPHR recommended
• Minimum six years’ experience in Human Resources
• Labor relations experience preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office products
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for employees and leaders within the program.
• Build credible relationships across all levels while maintaining confidentiality and alignment with company values.
• Coach leaders through difficult employment decisions using sound judgment.
• Partner with leadership on engagement, retention, and workforce development initiatives.
• Provide guidance on performance management, corrective actions, and terminations.
• Conduct exit interviews to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Communicate and enforce HR policies and escalate issues when necessary.
• Investigate employee concerns and ethics/compliance matters; escalate as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to employee matters and investigations.
• Support Leaves of Absence communication and return-to-work statuses.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruiting strategies.
• Provide guidance on performance management and employee development.
• Lead trainings on HR topics and organizational policies.
• Maintain HR records in electronic personnel files and trackers.
