Amentum is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to act as a strategic and operational partner for the assigned program in Maryland. You will drive HR policy execution, provide employee relations support, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws while fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) years’ experience in Human Resources
• PHR/SPHR certification recommended
• Proficiency in MS Office products; strong presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and leaders within the assigned program.
• Coach and influence leaders through difficult and sensitive employment decisions with sound judgment.
• Partner with leadership to develop and implement employee engagement, retention, and workforce development initiatives.
• Provide guidance on employee counseling, corrective actions, performance management, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruiting strategies and hiring efforts.
• Lead and facilitate training sessions on key HR topics and organizational policies.
