Job summary

Amentum is seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic partner for the assigned program. This role ensures consistent execution of HR policies, employee relations, compliance, training, benefits, ADA interplay, and workforce initiatives.

You will build trusted relationships with leaders and employees, coach managers through complex employment decisions, support engagement and development, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws while fostering a positive,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business or related field required.
• PHR/SPHR recommended.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and leaders within the assigned program.
• Coach and influence leaders through difficult and sensitive employment decisions using sound judgment and emotional intelligence.
• Partner with leadership to develop and implement employee engagement, retention, and workforce development initiatives.
• Provide guidance on employee counseling, corrective actions, performance management, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Investigate employee concerns and ethics or compliance matters; elevate issues appropriately.
• Maintain documentation and reporting related to employee matters and investigations.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruiting strategies.
• Lead training sessions on HR topics.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or related field

PHR/SPHR recommended

Minimum six years HR experience

Labor relations experience

MS Office proficiency

Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
