Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Manager, Human Resources in Phoenix to drive HR strategy across recruitment, employee relations and equal opportunity employment by partnering with leadership to implement initiatives that help Spectrum meet business goals.

You’ll provide consultative HR support to managers, ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws including FLSA, FMLA and ADAA, and oversee recruiting, onboarding, and payroll operations while developing direct reports and managing the HR budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational behavior, related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a multi-location environment.
• Master’s degree and HR certifications (PHR, SPHR) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement short and long term HR strategies with leadership to support objectives and simplify the customer experience.
• Provide consultative HR support to managers and supervisors, guiding performance management, development and organizational change.
• Ensure legal compliance with applicable federal, state and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADAA).
• Oversee employee relations by conducting investigations and managing escalated issues, including ethics reports.
• Oversee recruiting, staffing, onboarding and retention with compliance to EEO, FCC and affirmative action requirements.
• Manage HR operations including payroll, benefits enrollment, unemployment and workers compensation, HRIS maintenance and communications.
• Lead and develop direct reports, participate in labor relations negotiations and manage department budget and expenses.
