Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, with 5–10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, safety and training is preferred.
• Excellent communication, judgment, confidentiality and time management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct employment activities, ensuring properly qualified employees are recruited and hired in a timely manner.
• Ensure policies and programs are understood and administered consistently.
• Oversee HR programs through HR staff; monitor welfare plans, payroll accuracy, and related compliance.
• Administer wage and salary administration and performance appraisal programs for exempt and nonexempt employees; review wage ranges annually.
• Oversee payroll processing on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Review, guide, and approve management recommendations for terminations.
• Maintain records and reports necessary to carry out HR functions.
• Keep the executive team informed of significant problems affecting company goals.
• Develop and supervise training programs and safety initiatives.
• Lead the implementation of safety and health programs; track OSHA-required data.
