Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
• Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, safety, and training preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly orally and in writing.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Direct employment activities, assuring properly qualified employees are recruited and hired in a timely manner.
• Ensure policies and programs are understood and administered consistently; disseminate communication to all employees.
• Oversee HR programs through HR staff and monitor welfare plans, including pension, life insurance, and health care programs, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Administer wage and salary administration and performance appraisal programs and review wage ranges annually for equity.
• Oversee payroll processing on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Review and approve management recommendations for employment terminations.
• Maintain records and reports necessary for department functions.
• Inform executive team of significant problems affecting company goals.
• Develop and supervise training programs and lead safety/OSHA data tracking.
• Act as liaison between the Company and laws/regulations (OSHA, Wage-Hour, ERISA, etc.).
• Investigate employee complaints or concerns.
• Manage employee communication through meetings, surveys, newsletters, and focus groups.
• Develop and administer programs for employee communications and community relations.
