Job summary

Workforce Recruiter in Mason City, IA seeks a Human Resources Manager to lead HR/Office operations for all employees, implementing policies and local programs to support employment relations, wage/salary administration, benefits, safety, training, and OSHA compliance.

The role focuses on maintaining a union-free environment, overseeing payroll, performance appraisals, and benefits administration, while steering HR programs and ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field with 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in HR

Responsibilities

• Direct employment activities to recruit and hire qualified employees in a timely manner.
• Ensure policies and programs are understood and administered consistently; disseminate communication to all employees.
• Oversee HR programs through HR staff; monitor welfare plans, pension, life insurance, salary continuation, long-term disability, and health care with accuracy.
• Administer wage and salary administration and performance appraisal programs; review wage ranges for internal/external equity.
• Oversee payroll processing on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Review and approve management recommendations for employment terminations.
• Maintain HR records and reports to support department functions.
• Keep executive team informed of significant problems affecting company goals.
• Develop and supervise training programs; conduct supervisory training when needed.
• Lead implementation of safety and health programs and OSHA data tracking.
• Act as liaison and problem solver with laws and regulations applicable to HR.
