Job summary

Clearwater Paper, the premier paperboard manufacturer, seeks an HR Business Partner for its Augusta, GA facility. You will serve as a strategic partner across employee relations, payroll, benefits, and staffing, while driving continuous improvement in a busy manufacturing environment.

You’ll collaborate with leaders to optimize talent acquisition, onboarding, and organizational design, ensuring fair practices and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing/multi-site environment.
Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
Experience with HRIS platforms, including Time & Attendance, LMS, and ATS systems.
Travel <10% as part of the role.
Rotating weekend duty and supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Partner with multiple departments to provide HR support across employee relations, payroll, benefits, and staffing.
Coordinate compensation, benefits, talent systems, and HR practices per corporate guidelines.
Provide guidance to leaders on employee relations and counsel on complex matters with internal/external counsel as needed.
Drive employee engagement initiatives and monitor action plans and key indicators.
Support organizational design, talent acquisition, onboarding, and KPI alignment to meet business objectives.
Champion organizational transformation and training initiatives across frontline and leadership development.
