Job summary

Hotstart is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to assist in the routine functions of the HR department, including hiring and interviewing staff, overseeing pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices, supporting 250+ employees.

This position combines strategic HR business partnership with hands-on administration across all aspects of the employee lifecycle to build a positive and productive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Partners with leadership to implement HR strategy on staffing, retention, and succession.
• Promotes company culture, values, and employee engagement.
• Provides guidance on sensitive issues; manages accommodations, investigations, discipline, and terminations.
• Participates in talent acquisition: recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for various roles.
• Analyzes compensation trends and assists with pay program design.
• Collaborates on performance management and development initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and policies.
• Maintains knowledge of HR trends, regulatory changes, and tech in HR.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
