Job summary

SSTAR is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations, administer HR programs, recruit and retain talent, and ensure compliance with employment laws. This role partners with leadership on workforce planning, benefits, compensation, performance management, and HR initiatives.

Responsibilities include onboarding, HR reporting, audits, process improvements, and payroll-related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of broad HR experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to write complex communications
• Highly organized with strong time management
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Project management skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of HR policies and programs.
• Administer HR policies with CHRO/Director of HR regarding benefits, wage increases, retirement, etc.
• Source, recruit, interview and staff various positions.
• Drive hourly/salary recruitment and retention; develop staffing plans and growth of recruitment sources.
• Partner with HR and operational leaders for workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Maintain knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PFML, FLSA, EEO and OSHA.
• Act as first line liaison with employees to resolve concerns.
• Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Oversee performance reviews and career plans with direct reports.
• Oversee payroll process and record keeping for accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with benefits enrollment and salary administration.
• Participate in strategic HR planning.
• Provide guidance to the HR Recruiter.
