Job summary

Sanborn is seeking an HR Generalist to oversee recruitment, payroll, benefits and employee relations in Ontario. You will implement policies, manage performance processes, and coordinate training while ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal standards. The role emphasizes data-driven HR practices and cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HR, strong Ontario regulatory knowledge, and experience with HRIS/payroll systems; CHRP/SHRM-CP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HR experience with end-to-end HR functions.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and compliance.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll platforms and analytics.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with business focus.
• Payroll, benefits coordination and regulatory reporting experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading interviews, meetings and training sessions.
• CHRP/SHRM-CP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement HR policies and programs.
• Advise managers on policies, benefits and workplace practices.
• Administer employee relations, grievances and investigations.
• Support full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
• Coordinate performance management and coaching.
• Oversee training and development initiatives.
• Coordinate payroll and benefits administration.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and health & safety.
• Maintain HR data and metrics for planning and reporting.
• Respond to employee inquiries and workplace concerns.
