Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join their team in a hybrid work environment. The role involves supporting recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and training initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, solid knowledge of SA labour law, and proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems. A proactive, detail-oriented professional is preferred.

Qualifications

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in HR Generalist or similar role.
• Strong understanding of core HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, benefits, ER, and performance management.
• Familiarity with South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Proficient in MS Office and HRIS software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruitment and onboarding: posting, screening resumes, interviews, orientation.
• Administer employee benefits programs.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS.
• Respond to employee inquiries on HR policies and benefits.
• Support performance management processes and appraisals.
• Assist with HR training program development and delivery.
• Contribute to resolution of employee relations issues.
• Help maintain compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives.
• Organize and manage HR documentation and filing systems.
