Job summary

QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, seeks a dedicated Referral Management Center Specialist to support a Military Treatment Facility with referral and appointment coordination. You will answer calls, review referrals, schedule specialty appointments, and educate patients on procedures while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

• Understanding of referral processes and patient scheduling

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with referral-related questions.
• Review and process referrals for completeness and eligibility.
• Schedule and reschedule specialty appointments according to MTF guidelines.
• Process routine, urgent, and emergent referrals within established timeframes.
• Coordinate referrals with outside providers or insurance when services are not available at the MTF.
• Maintain accurate referral documentation in MHS GENESIS and other required systems.
• Educate patients on referral procedures, appointments, and expected timelines.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
