Job summary

Muse Search + Inspire is seeking a Senior Director / Vice President, Business Development to drive strategic growth in the power and energy sector. You will lead investment opportunities from origination through negotiation, execution, and integration, working with developers, utilities, IPPs, and financial partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum track record in business development, M&A, project development, or investment evaluation in power/energy.
• Strong understanding of wholesale power markets, generation technologies, and project finance.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiations skills.
• Experience coordinating due diligence across functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and execute acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and development opportunities.
• Develop financial and commercial business cases and investment recommendations for leadership and boards.
• Lead or support transaction structuring, negotiations, due diligence, and execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, utilities, IPPs, financial institutions, and industry participants.
• Coordinate commercial, financial, technical, legal, regulatory, environmental, tax, and operational due diligence.
• Monitor wholesale power markets, industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies.
• Support integration of acquired or developed assets and provide ongoing commercial support for assets.
