The Business Development Director will drive strategic growth across power market clients, leading account development and executive relationships to generate demand for integrated consulting, digital, and implementation solutions. This role works with Business Line Leaders, Client Engagement Leaders, Managing Directors, and delivery teams to expand presence with electric utilities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction or related field with extensive industry experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver proposals, shape opportunities pre-RFPs, and influence client decisions.
• Deep experience in power markets, with knowledge of grid operations and market structures.
• Proven track record of consultative business development and executive relationship management.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engagements across strategy, advisory, technology and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop targeted growth strategies for power market clients and manage priority accounts.
• Lead executive-level discovery conversations and translate challenges into advisory engagements.
• Shape engagement roadmaps and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships and expand opportunities within strategic accounts.
• Represent 1898 & Co. at conferences and client events to strengthen brand presence and pipeline.
