Job summary

Point Global Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to drive new business and manage a full sales cycle across air and ocean freight, trucking, customs, warehousing, and project logistics. You will develop your own pipeline, build relationships with new customers, and close profitable opportunities.

You will collaborate with operations and pricing teams, travel within your territory, and contribute to gross profit growth while expanding services and locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales or business development in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Proven ability to win new customers and hit revenue or gross profit goals.
• Working knowledge of international air/ocean freight, imports/exports, trade lanes and pricing.
• Strong prospecting, discovery, presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
• Experience using CRM systems and MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a sales plan for your territory.
• Develop new business via prospecting, visits, referrals, networking, and industry events.
• Learn customers’ supply chains, trade lanes, shipment volumes, challenges, and priorities.
• Develop solutions across air/ocean freight, trucking, customs brokerage, warehousing, and project logistics.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposals, negotiation, and closing.
• Build profitable business with focus on gross profit, service levels, and long-term potential.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in CRM.
• Partner with operations for smooth transition from sale to implementation.
• Grow existing relationships by identifying additional trade lanes, services, and locations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the U.S., Mexico, and Point Global’s international network.
