Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics, Lancaster, TX, seeks an Operational Account Manager for Freight Operations. You will drive carrier pricing, manage customer relationships, and grow branch house accounts while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics or transportation brokerage; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains customer relationships via phone, email, and in person.
• Negotiate with carriers to obtain rates and services.
• Identify growth opportunities within house accounts.
• Manage new leads and opportunities.
• Provide best service options and pricing for customer requests.
• Proactively handle shipment requests.
• Utilize TMS for planning and scheduling data input.
• Set pricing guidelines for Carrier Sales team.
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate updates to customers.
