Job summary

DSV Road GmbH's Atlanta office seeks an experienced Operational Account Manager, Freight Operations, to lead customer relations and growth for Road US. You will manage house accounts and explore new business opportunities while coordinating with carriers and internal teams to ensure efficient service.

Responsibilities include negotiating rates, leveraging the TMS to plan shipments, tracking performance, and preparing quarterly reviews with customers.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, or related field required; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with transportation management systems.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Solid analytical experience in Excel required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop overall customer relationship via phone, email, and in person.
• Negotiate with carriers to obtain rates and determine services.
• Identify growth opportunities within branch house accounts.
• Research and establish new customer leads and opportunities.
• Provide best service options and pricing for customer requests.
• Proactively handle customer shipment requests.
• Utilize TMS to input data for planning and scheduling.
• Provide direction and pricing guidance for Carrier Sales team.
• Monitor shipment tracking and communicate updates to customers.
• Ensure customer expectations are met through coordination with Carrier Sales.
• Track and trace shipments from pickup to delivery.
• Prepare spend reports and conduct regular reviews with customers.
