Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in LTL transportation, pricing, carrier management, or operations.
• Experience negotiating transportation agreements.
• Experience with LTL pricing structures, tariff analysis, and transportation cost models.
• Experience working in 3PL, freight brokerage, or transportation management environments preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships as the primary operational contact for LTL accounts.
• Manage day-to-day LTL shipment execution, including routing, scheduling, consolidation, and coordination with carriers, terminals, and internal operations teams.
• Coordinate with LTL carriers and internal networks to secure capacity and ensure service commitments.
• Negotiate LTL rates, tariffs, and accessorial charges to provide competitive and cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor and track shipments from pickup through final delivery, addressing delays and service disruptions.
• Provide real-time shipment visibility and updates to customers with transit times and delivery expectations.
• Analyze shipment characteristics to determine routing and pricing strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve transit times, reduce costs, and enhance service through consolidation and mode optimization.
• Support onboarding of new LTL customers, including SOPs and routing guides.
• Utilize TMS and LTL rating tools for planning and performance tracking.
• Lead or provide pricing guidance to Carrier Sales and Operations teams.
• Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs/MBRs) presenting service performance and cost analyses.
• Lead or support LTL process improvement initiatives.
• Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards compliance.
