Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Freight Brokerage Strategic Account Manager to manage a portfolio of customers by developing transportation provider networks and carrier coverage strategies. You will mentor SMAs, contract rates, and dispatch loads while ensuring timely, compliant service.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a robust service provider network and foster strong customer relationships with a focus on performance and 24/7 availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, or related field required.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
• Experience coordinating with transportation providers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with transportation providers to maximize customer freight portfolio.
• Lead a small group of SMAs as a mentor and support carrier issues.
• Negotiate rates to achieve margins for commissions and goals.
• Schedule and dispatch loads, track and trace, and communicate with carriers/customers.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Maintain load statuses in the TMS and strive for world-class customer satisfaction.
