Job summary

ShipBob, a leading full-stack fulfillment platform, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the finance team focused on transportation initiatives. You will forecast, perform variance analysis, and build board materials to support profitable growth.

You’ll partner with FP&A and Transportation to enhance margin analysis and forecasting while contributing to strategic projects. You will report to FP&A Manager and work in a hybrid model at our Chicago headquarters, collaborating with senior

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field.
• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or a related field.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule in our Chicago office.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation initiatives monthly and communicate key drivers and variances to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to report on weekly performance related to Transportation and margins.
• Build bottoms up forecasts with Transportation team and identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan with Transportation to convert into the budget.
• Produce monthly and quarterly investor/board presentations highlighting key metrics and trends.
• Provide margin analysis and communicate findings to business partners.
• Improve models and processes with professional knowledge and company objectives.
• Continue process improvements and automation across files.
• Steer management on strategy improvements and align investments with company goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to understand key objectives.
