Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our fast-paced finance team. This hybrid role is based in Chicago and focuses on Transportation FP&A, forecasting, and board-ready reporting to support profitable growth.

You'll build bottoms-up forecasts, analyze transportation costs, develop margin insights, and partner with the Transportation and FP&A teams to drive strategic initiatives. Strong Excel, NetSuite, SQL, and Power BI skills are essential, along with clear communication with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related degree.
• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation required.
• 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation initiatives monthly and report KPIs to senior management.
• Collaborate to report weekly performance related to Transportation and margins.
• Build bottoms-up forecasts with Transportation team; identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop models/processes for new transportation initiatives.
• Prepare annual operating plan with Transportation team and convert to budget.
• Create monthly/quarterly investor and board presentations.
• Develop margin analysis and communicate findings to partners.
