ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a fast-paced finance team in Chicago. You will support transportation initiatives, forecast performance, and prepare board materials to drive profitable growth.

The role partners with FP&A and Transportation teams to enhance ship-margin analysis, forecast targets, and budgeting. A hybrid schedule in Chicago is required, with strong Excel, SQL, NetSuite, and Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation.
• 3-5 years of FP&A or related field.
• Hybrid schedule in Chicago office.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with NetSuite, SmartView, SQL, Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation initiatives monthly; communicate key drivers and variances to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to report weekly performance related to Transportation and margins.
• Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottoms-up forecasts and identify risks/opportunities.
• Develop and implement models for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare annual operating plan with Transportation team and translate into budget.
• Create monthly/quarterly investor and board presentations highlighting metrics and trends.
• Provide margin analysis and insights to business partners.
• Develop and refine financial models and processes aligned with company goals.
• Improve existing files and automate processes; propose workarounds for complex files.
• Drive management to improve key business strategies; collaborate broadly across teams.
• Offer solutions to business needs; assess investments behind key strategies.
• Engage stakeholders across the company to align on objectives.
